The Best of Both Worlds

BTM SimSport was born from a champion’s curiosity. What makes a driver successful, rather than simply repeating success? Founded by former SCCA National Champion Brett Madsen, BTM SimSport is the result of decades of experience in both real-world racing and simulation.
With over 25 years in racing simulation, Brett’s journey began in the early days of Sports Car GT, evolved through the peak of NASCAR Racing 2003 Season (before its transition into iRacing), and continues today across a vast landscape of modern simulations. His deep involvement in modding and vehicle development has made a lasting impact on the sim racing community. Most notably, Brett leveraged his sim racing expertise to refine his real-world driving skills, ultimately capturing a national championship title. Today, he owns and operates the Spec P71 Racing Series, where his Assetto Corsa mod of the same name is widely regarded as one of the most lifelike recreations of a real vehicle within the platform.
Brett’s career has come full circle moving from sim to track and back again, acquiring invaluable experience as a driver, engineer, and simulation developer along the way. His work has gained the attention of professional teams, manufacturers, and even government agencies, all recognizing the value of his approach to hyper-accurate vehicle simulations.
As sim racing continues to grow as an accessible alternative to real-world motorsports, Brett remains committed to bridging the gap between virtual and reality. His mission is to develop simulations that not only immerse drivers in the experience but also equip them with the skills to transition seamlessly from the digital world to the racetrack.
